The core principle is that through the effect of applied electric field, the gas medium in the tube is ionized, and then forms a conductive channel to allow the current to pass through, specifically, the gas discharge tube refers to a type of lightning arrester or antenna switch tube for overvoltage protection, and there are two or more electrodes in the tube. The interior is full of electrically stable inert gas (argon, neon). When a sufficient voltage is applied between the electrodes of the discharge tube to exceed the insulation strength of the inert gas, the two poles will produce an arc and ionize the gas, then the discharge tube will change from an insulating state to a conductive state.
